The Prenzlauer Berg district, where our apartments are located, is characterised by many old buildings, most of them originating from the turn of the 20th century. Today, this area of the city offers a nearly homogeneous old town. More than 3000 of its buildings are listed. The city centre is characterised by multiple restaurants and bars. In particular in Kastanienallee, around Kollwitzplatz, Rosenthaler Platz and Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, there is a concentration of numerous Berlin gastronomy hotspots. One landmark of Prenzlauer Berg is the former water tower in Ryke-Ecke Knaackstraße dating from the year 1877, Berlin’s first.
